Idiot B - Finished with nights

He struggled through an uneventful night, for it was a struggle as always these days. Strange though, he mused, how it was so good to get off nights and thereby enjoy a little freedom and yet the vacuum of Sunday lies in wait… and perversely he couldn’t deal with the freedom, could he? A good boy all week then opportunity for indiscretion, and he could be indiscreet.

Insightful philosophy moment - Oh how the working class are controlled.

Although in fairness a re-introduction to photography was giving life a more fulfilling, creative edge, and he was surprised how good he had become, not an easy consideration as criticism of self was a speciality subject. Clearly all those years ago, with hard lessons learned through self-education in a makeshift darkroom, bad pictures, and the accompanying incorporated ridicule, were paying off, coupled he was quick to acknowledge, with advances in technology.

Again, as regard the work ethic, once he got started he was fine, recalling the wisdom of an erstwhile history teacher who had managed to guide him to an only A Level – “Works sporadically”

A first sip of wine went down the wrong way, almost as a warning…of the bitter after taste to come
